Q&A's with Kelsey Boltz
Kelsey, what does a typical day look like for you as Expediting Coordinator at AHT MidPort?
My job is focused on shipping. This includes going through orders that are ready to ship and making sure all of the info is correct so I can get the customers' parts out the door and on their way to them.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
I like to spend my free time with friends and loved ones. I enjoy spending time outside during the summer, watching documentaries, cooking, and playing with my two little kittens. I also like going to concerts and listening to music - anything from country to rock to hip hop/rap. I like all music.
As Expediting Coordinator, what advice would you give to our customers to ensure they receive their orders in a timely fashion?
It always makes things run smoothly if a Purchase Order comes with the parts so we know how to handle the parts you are shipping to us. If we do not have this, it can delay us starting on your parts.
Another big thing is to have all the shipping info on the Purchase Order so we know how you would like us to ship your parts back to you. Things like:
- Shipping Address
- Account Number
- Preferred Carrier and
- How fast you would like your parts shipped.
Why do you enjoy working at AHT?
I enjoy working at AHT for a lot of different reasons. A couple of those would be: you never feel like you don’t belong. From the first day I started at Advanced Heat Treat two years ago, I felt like I belonged. Everyone who works here is willing to lend a helping hand if you ever have any trouble.
Another thing I enjoy is the fun get-togethers we have at AHT. In the summer / fall it’s always nice to step away from your desk for a couple hours and have some burgers on the grill and play a game of bags (also known as cornhole).
What is one thing people may not know about Kelsey Boltz?
I recently went to my first Iowa Hawkeyes football game and now I can’t get enough of the feeling of being up in the stands doing the signature WAVE to the children’s hospital.
What is one thing our customers may not know about AHT?
AHT is like one big family! From conversations to going out for an AHT girls night, we all like to interact like we are family.
