MONROE, MICHIGAN – June 9, 2021 – Advanced Heat Treat Corp. (AHT), a recognized leader in heat treatment and metallurgical solutions, announced a new black oxide option today. The oxidation is a darker black color than their standard offering. The additional option will be available as a standalone black oxide treatment and as part of the UltraOx® heat treatment (referred to as UltraOx Hyper).
AHT President Mike Woods commented, “Now our customers have a choice when it comes to the appearance and metallurgical results of their carbon steel and alloy parts. They can opt for our standard offering or choose an even darker oxide finish.”

UltraOx and black oxide are often used by manufacturers serving industries such as firearms, agriculture, automotive and more. The treatments provide an aesthetic black color and protection against wear and corrosion. UltraOx® has been proven to last over 300 salt spray hours before developing signs of rust.
