Q&As with Jadah Krieger

Jadah, you’ve been an employee at AHT since 2018. Tell us who “recruited” you and what tasks did you do start out as a part-time employee?

Both of my parents have each worked for AHT for over 20 years; essentially, I have grown up around AHT. In fact, I first visited AHT when I was just 2 days old. And AHT has been family ever since. Fast forward 18 years, I began working part-time while I attended Hawkeye Community College. While working part time, I did tasks such as scanning, filing, answering phones, and projects for various departments.

What are some benefits of working at AHT as a college student?

Working for AHT while I am in college has major benefits. AHT is able to work around my school schedule as well as my soccer schedule. They made it feel easy to balance my school, soccer, and work schedules.

In April of 2022, you were promoted to Quality Technician. Tell us about your training so far.

My training this far has been great, I have learned a lot of information about the Burton facility (formally worked at the Midport facility where the processes are quite different), also have learned a lot about the quality department/requirements, metallurgy, hardness testing, etc. I am excited to learn more as I continue to go through training.

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?

Spending time with friends and family, coaching soccer, and being outdoors.

We hear you have an exciting vacation coming up this summer. What are you doing?

My family and I are going to spend two weeks in Hawaii. We plan to split the time between Oahu, Maui, and The Big Island (Kona). Some fun things we have planned are ziplining, snorkeling, hiking, visiting Pearl Harbor, and going to the beach of course. I am very grateful I have this opportunity to go to on a trip like this with my family.

What’s one thing people may not know Jadah Krieger?

I graduated in August from Purdue University Global with my Bachelors in Criminal Justice: Forensic Psychology. I was able to obtain the Summa Cum Laude honor which is a 4.0 GPA.

What’s one thing people may not know about AHT?

We operate the business with core values. I believe these values are not only important in the business world but they are also key values to follow as a person. AHT focuses on these values within its employees to ensure the business is running at full potential.

If someone was considering applying at AHT, what would you tell them about our company?

I personally believe you will not find better flexibility from any other company. The ability to work around various schedules, family emergencies, appointments, etc. is such a great benefit. Especially for college students who may only have a small time slot to fit work hours in.

Name something you’ve learned in the past year.

I have learned a lot in my studies for school regarding Psychology, which is an ever-growing topic in today’s society. I have read a lot of case studies throughout my Bachelor’s degree and I continue to do research and read while I am getting my Master’s degree in General Psychology.
